Former UFC double champion Conor McGregor believes he will be fighting this summer. In the past few weeks, the Irishman has claimed that he has accepted a “no name” opponent and a date for his next bout and is now waiting for a fresh contract.

UFC CEO Dana White has not given any strong hint that McGregor’s claims are true. White, however, has earlier stated that “The Notorious” is in contention for a spot on the White House Card.

However, as per Ariel Helwani, the Irishman will not fight on June 14. Instead, there’s a higher chance that McGregor makes his return on the International Fight Week card in July.

Following recovery and rehabilitation, “The Notorious” served as head coach on TUF 31 in 2023 opposite Michael Chandler.

In 2024, he and Chandler were booked to headline UFC 303. However, the bout didn’t materialize, as the Irishman had to withdraw due to a toe injury.

Last year, the 37-year-old was handed an 18-month suspension for violations of the UFC anti-doping policy, which will be lifted on March 20.
