Puja Toma (9-5) is ready to return to the octagon and has reportedly inked a deal for her third outing in the UFC.
Tomar, nicknamed “The Cyclone,” is the first Indian-born woman fighter in the UFC, who boasts a promotional record of 1-1. She made her UFC debut in 2024 against Brazil’s Rayanne dos Santos and won by split decision.
For her second fight, the 32-year-old locked horns with Ireland’s Shauna Bannon at UFC London in 2025 and lost in Round 2 by submission.
In the Tomar vs. Bannon bout, “The Cyclone” dropped “Mama B” in the second round with a perfectly timed high kick and came super close to a TKO win when she immediately took top control and unleashed heavy ground-and-pound on Bannon.
However, the Irishwoman, after overcoming adversity, quickly turned the tide in her favour by throwing her legs up and attacking Tomar with an armbar, which was enough to force a tap from “The Cyclone.”
