Arman Tsarukyan has some blunt advice for Justin Gaethje before the current and two-time interim UFC lightweight champion locks horns with Ilia Topuria.
The Topuria vs. Gaethje lightweight title unification bout will serve as the UFC Freedom 250 headliner, as unveiled last week.
Meanwhile, Arman Tsarukyan, who is getting ready to return to the octagon, most recently grabbed the Hype FC strap after submitting Muhammad Mokaev at Hype Brazil. Just a few hours after the victory, “Ahalkalakets” is back in the headlines and has already appeared on multiple interviews and podcasts.
He has just revealed that Hunter Campbell has given him a date for his next fight. Meanwhile, in an interview with Red Corner MMA, Tsarukyan had a message for “The Highlight” before the 37-year-old fights Topuria at the White House on June 14. He said:
I would recommend Justin get injured in camp and let me step in and get the title; after that, he can fight me.”

Arman Tsarukyan Doubts Ilia Topuria Will Ever Accept a Fight With Him
Arman Tsarukyan believes Ilia Topuria knows “Ahalkalakets” is not easy game, and that if given the choice between fighting him or Justin Gaethje, the Georgian-Spaniard would likely pick the 37-year-old.
While reacting to Topuria’s sitdown with Adin Ross, during which the former said that he’s down to fight Tsarukyan if the UFC tells him to, the Armenian said on the Jaxxon Podcast:
He [Ilia Topuria] changed his mind. But this is bullsh*t. He is just saying on the camera [that he will fight me]. If he’s gonna have to name Gaethje or Arman, he will pick Gaethje.”
Tsarukyan added that Topuria is well aware of his well-rounded skill set and claimed that if “El Matador” doesn’t knock him out, he doesn’t have many other tools to get his hand raised.
He knows it’s a tough fight. If he’s not gonna knock me out, what is he gonna do?”

On the Jaxxon Podcast, Tsarukyan also added that his goal is to capture the UFC lightweight throne soon and then make five successful title defenses to break Islam Makhachev’s record:
Islam [Makhachev] defended four times, so I want to defend five to six times. I think 155 [pounds] is my division, and my time has come.”
