Conor McGregor has confirmed he will not fight on the UFC’s White House card and has not received a contract.
Dana White will announce the entire June 14 event’s fighter lineup later tonight during the UFC 326 broadcast.

🚨UFC White House will feature 2 title fights. 🏆🏆

Dana White just posted a picture of him in the war room, and from the photo, it seems like we will have 2 title fights on that card. 👀

This once-in-a-lifetime event will have 6-7 fights (2 title fights) and will be billed as Freedom Fights 250: The White House.

Just a few hours before the announcement, “The Notorious” already informed fans via Smash Cast that he wanted to face Michael Chandler on the South Lawn of the White House, but the UFC had other plans.

Conor McGregor, who has not fought for nearly 5 years, is now expected to fight in July on the International Fight Week card. During the interview, he said he won’t be too picky about an opponent and is eager to get back in action.

As I was aware, it was the White House. I was up for the White House. I know the administration was strong for me to be in the White House. It was McGregor vs. Chandler. The story was built in. Chandler is a stand-up guy. He’s electric in the cage. He comes to bring it. I’m the Mac. It would have been dynamite.”

The Dubliner added:

And somewhere down the line… [the UFC said] maybe we’re going to go with you for International Fight Week. Ok, no problem [and they said] ‘maybe we’re going to leave Chandler.’ I do like Chandler. I have been preparing for him for the last two years. He deserves to go after the waiting, and it would be a great fight. It gets me back in there, but you know they feared off it. I’m not going to be too picky. I have to get back. I’m eager to get back. I’ve been out and love myself. So, ok, I’m sorry, Chandler, it is what it is.”

The former UFC double champ also revealed that his manager will meet the UFC brass on Monday and expects the promotion to offer a good deal to him and an opponent.

In the same interview, he added that he will return at welterweight and is frustrated with the UFC for not sending him a contract yet, despite his willingness to fight and make his much-anticipated return.

Conor McGregor plans to be at the White House on June 14

Although Conor McGregor has confirmed that he won’t be fighting on June 14 and is instead looking forward to headlining International Fight Week, he still plans to attend the White House event.

“The Notorious” believes whoever is going to fight him in July should have a brief faceoff with him on the South Lawn, during the White House event. He told Smash Cast:

I’ll still be at the White House, and whoever I’m facing they bring us into the octagon, and we face off and we get that hype going in that White House Lawn.”

During the same interview, he added that although he’s game to fight “Iron” next, he’s also eager to face the winner of the UFC 326 headliner, which is a rematch between BMF champion Max Holloway and Charles Oliveira.

“The Notorious” feels he still has 10 fights left in him and plans to compete until he’s 50 years old.
