Jorge Masvidal and reigning UFC middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev have been trading barbs lately.
For context, on the Death Row MMA podcast, Masvidal and Johnny Eblen were discussing the UFC 328 headliner between Chimaev and Sean Strickland.
On the show “Gamebred,” who is not a fan of Chimaev’s wrestling-heavy fight style, took back-to-back digs at “Borz” for just holding Dricus du Plessis down for the majority of the 25 minutes at UFC 319.
Although “Borz” secured a control time of 21 minutes and 40 seconds, scored 12 takedowns, and landed 529 total strikes against Du Plessis, which was more than enough to dethrone the South African, Masvidal, a former BMF champion, isn’t a fan of snoozefests.
On his podcast, he and Eblen both opined that Strickland has better cardio and fight IQ and will most likely knock out the Chechen-born Emirati on May 9.
After hearing Masvidal and Eblen’s assessment of the UFC 328 main event, Chimaev quipped:
All three of you, same night☠️☠️☠️ ⚰️⚰️⚰️”

Jorge Masvidal fires back after Khamzat Chimaev claims he can beat “Gamebred,” Sean Strickland, and Johnny Eblen on the same night
While responding to Khamzat Chimaev’s claim that he can finish Jorge Masvidal, Johnny Eblen, and Sean Strickland on the same night, “Gamebred” went on a rant, mocking Chimaev’s wrestling as nothing more than “crotch-sniffing.” He said:
The funny thing about that is that you ain’t gonna kill nobody by hugging anybody to death. You better stop with that crotch-sniffing sh*t, especially if you’re talking to me, brother. Your legacy is always going to be known for sniffing other dudes’ crotches. Every time you had a chance to prove somebody wrong, all you do is sniff crotches.”
The former UFC BMF champion reaffirmed his belief that Strickland has better cardio than Chimaev, and therefore, “Borz” should worry about his first middleweight title defense and not pay heed to what others say on social media. Masvidal added:
Instead of worrying about what I’m talking and posting about, you should be worrying about your fight, because your gas tank is trash, and Sean’s about to test your gas tank.”
