Alex Pereira has added fuel to the fire by reposting an AI-generated video showing him knocking out Khamzat Chimaev with a brutal knee to the face.

“Poatan” has been in Chimaev’s crosshairs ever since the latter captured the middleweight throne and then voiced his desire to move up in pursuit of two-division glory. He has called out the current and two-time UFC light heavyweight champion several times. However, the Brazilian has shown no interest in locking horns with “Borz.”

Alex Pereira, who has already attained two division glory in the UFC, now wants to move up to heavyweight to try and become the first three-division champion.

Recent rumors suggest that “Poatan” could take on Ciryl Gane at UFC 328 for the undisputed UFC heavyweight title. Champion Tom Aspinall is recovering from a serious eye injury, and the Brit has not provided a timeline for his return. If he remains sidelined, a clash between “Poatan” and “Bon Gamin” for the heavyweight throne could become a real possibility.

Over the last few days, there have been rumors circulating that Alex Pereira is moving up to the heavyweight division and could face Ciryl Gane for the undisputed title at UFC 328. 👀🔥

“Borz,” the current UFC middleweight champion, is expected to make the first defense of his title post-Ramadan. However, all signs point to the 31-year-old vacating his 185-pound throne and moving up.

Some rumors suggest that Chimaev might take on former champ Jiri Prochazka next for the 205-pound title at UFC 327.

“Borz” does not seem fully focused on fighting Alex Pereira anymore, after the latter did not pay heed to his previous callouts. Instead, the Chechen-born Emirati now appears determined to have two UFC straps on his shoulders and possibly even a third in the future. On the Jaxxon Podcast, he said:

[Alex Pereira] never responded. We’ll see if anyone else [is ready to fight me]. I just want to become a double champ. Then I can go back to my weight class, or stay there, or go up more. I’m not the guy who is trying to go out of the UFC undefeated. I don’t care.”
