Australian actor Chris Hemsworth wants to have an MMA fight sooner or later, as he most recently confessed.
Hemsworth, best known for portraying Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently appeared in an interview with Complex and admitted that after years of training and sparring, he would one day love to step inside the cage. He said:
A part of me wants to, though, actually. I mean, I’ve trained a lot and sparred a lot over the years, but you know, within the realm of not killing each other. And I’d love to just, one day, go, ‘Right, what have I gotten here?’ And I’ll probably end up flat on my back, starry-eyes.”
If Chris Hemsworth ever makes his MMA debut, he wants to lock horns with someone who retired a long time back. When actress Halle Berry asked him about what kind of opponent he wants to face, Hemsworth added:
One of the ones that retired a long time ago, and I could just run away from them until they got tired, and then, bam.”
Chris Hemsworth Names His Favorite UFC Fighters
When asked to name his favorite UFC fighters, Chris Hemsworth picked former two-division UFC champion Georges St-Pierre and his fellow Aussie, “The Great,” Alexander Volkanovski, who is the current and two-time UFC featherweight champ.
Georges St-Pierre, I love. Because he’s one of the all-time greats but seems like a gentleman. An intelligent soul as well. I like Alexander Volkanovski, an Australian and a good friend of mine.”\

Meanwhile, Halle Berry, who is also a fight fan, revealed who her favorite fighters are:
I was just going to say Renzo Gracie because I trained with him and at his institute for a movie I did. But Anderson Silva, I love. I love “Suga” Sean O’Malley. New generation. I’m just a “Suga” show fan. And Valentina Shevchenko. That’s my girl.” [6:39]
