Paddy Pimblett plans to fight again in 2026 and has shared a potential return timeline with fans.
Most recently at UFC 324, Pimblett was handed his first-ever loss in the promotion by Justin Gaethje. The 37-year-old pieced up Pimblett for five rounds and also dropped him numerous times during their interim title fight, and cruised to a unanimous decision victory.
After the loss, fans assumed that since Pimblett took heavy damage during the slugfest and was also sent crashing to the canvas multiple times, he would not enter the octagon anytime soon and would prefer a long recovery, which is the logical choice.
However, Paddy Pimblett is already targeting a summer return.
Paddy Pimblett plans to resume training from tomorrow
In a recent video on his YouTube channel, Paddy Pimblett talked about the punishment he received from Justin Gaethje at UFC 324. ‘The Baddy’ wanted to disfigure Gaethje’s face and promised that ‘The Highlight’ would never be the same after their fight. However, on fight night, nothing went as planned for the Scouser.
A constant back-and-forth battle with Gaethje left Pimblett with a swollen, bloodied face and puffy eyes. ‘The Highlight’ also made the Scouser pay for his pre-fight warnings by making ‘The Baddy’ eat his own words.
However, despite taking all that damage, Paddy Pimblett plans to fight again in summer 2026 and will be back in the gym from tomorrow. He said:
I said before the fight, I wanted to make his face look different, and for a couple of days he made my face look different. I had big, puffy eyes. I’ll be back in the gym tomorrow. People are thinking I’m going to have to take the rest of the year off, but I’m not. I’ll be fighting this summer.”

There have been rumors that Pimblett might be facing Conor McGregor at the UFC White House. On the other hand, Dan Hooker, with whom Pimblett has a strained relationship and an ongoing beef, could also be the Liverpudlian’s next opponent.
Earlier today, Hooker suffered a TKO loss at UFC 325 to Benoit Saint-Denis. However, ‘The Hangman’ is known for quick turnarounds and could lock horns with Pimblett in a grudge match in the summer of 2026.
