Perennial flyweight contender Brandon Moreno steps back into the main event spotlight at UFC Mexico on Saturday night.
Emanating from Arena CDMX, ‘The Assassin Baby’ looks to climb back into the win column following a devastating second-round knockout loss against Tatsuro Taira in his last outing. Standing in his way is British standout Lone’er Kavanagh.
Kavanagh showed flashes of greatness in his wins over Jose Ochoa and Felipe dos Santos. But like Moreno, he’s coming off a disastrous KO loss against Charles Johnson in his most recent Octagon appearance.
Rounding out the top of the card is the return of one-time bantamweight title challenger Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera. Eager to snap a three-fight losing skid, Vera meets the highly touted 13-1 prospect David Martinez in the evening’s co-main event.
