UFC 327 – Procházka vs Ulberg Picks & Predictions are here 🔥 The UFC returns to Miami’s Kaseya Center with a massive double-header that promises fireworks. From the crowning of a new light heavyweight king in Jiří Procházka vs. Carlos Ulberg to the final walk of a legend as Cub Swanson says goodbye, UFC 327 is a certified sleeper hit. Here are my picks and predictions for every fight on the card

Jiri Prochazka (-110) VS Carlos Ulberg (-108)

This vacant Light Heavyweight title bout features a compelling stylistic clash between two elite strikers. Jiří Procházka remains the division’s premier agent of chaos; he fights with a characteristic low-guard, relying almost entirely on unorthodox movement and spatial awareness for defense. In contrast, Carlos Ulberg is a tactical specialist defined by his composure and patient counter-striking, waiting for the precise window to capitalize on an opponent’s mistake.

Procházka’s primary weapon in this matchup will likely be his legendary durability. Outside of his encounters with Alex Pereira, his chin and “zombie-like” endurance have allowed him to outlast every elite test he has faced in the Octagon. He also enters this fight with a massive personal catalyst: the added motivation of his child, who is due to be born soon. On the other side, Ulberg’s drive is fueled by the prospect of championship gold, as a victory here would secure him the first world title of his professional career.

The tactical battle will likely center on the lead leg. As we have seen in previous bouts, Procházka’s wide stance makes his legs relatively easy to target. As a representative of City Kickboxing, Ulberg will almost certainly look to exploit this vulnerability. By compromising Jiří’s mobility, Ulberg can neutralize Procházka’s primary defense and eventually hunt for a knockout once his opponent’s movement slows. However, as the MMA world knows well, breaking Procházka’s spirit is a near-impossible task.

While Ulberg’s distance control is a key factor, maintaining a calm, technical pace against Procházka is a difficult mission. Looking at their respective resumes, Ulberg has only faltered once. A knockout loss to Kennedy Nzechukwu in his UFC debut and his most notable victory came in a disciplined three-round tactical battle against Jan Błachowicz. Conversely, Procházka has proven over the years that he can finish any top-tier contender in this division not named Alex Pereira.

Ultimately, the choice comes down to which style you trust more. If you believe Ulberg’s composure will allow him to weather the storm and find the finishing shot as Jiří lunges in, he is a logical pick. However, I believe Procházka’s ability to force chaos will eventually shatter Ulberg’s calm, allowing the Czech former champion to disrupt the rhythm and find a way to victory.

Final Pick for the UFC 327 Main Event – Jiri Prochazka

Azamat Murzakanov (-189) VS Paulo Costa (+160)

Paulo Costa has decided to make the jump to the Light Heavyweight division, and his trajectory at 205 pounds will be a fascinating storyline to follow. However, he receives a far-from-friendly welcome to the weight class in the form of Azamat Murzakanov, one of the division’s most dangerous power punchers. While his surname might lead some to expect a wrestling-heavy approach, Murzakanov is a devastating striker who has finished nearly everyone in his path, with Dustin Jacoby being the only UFC opponent to survive to a decision against him.

In contrast, Paulo Costa’s recent form raises some questions. Over the last six years, he has secured only two victories in six outings, defeating Luke Rockhold and Roman Kopylov. One factor working in Costa’s favor is his durability; throughout his career, only Israel Adesanya has managed to stop him, proving that he is incredibly difficult to finish. Nevertheless, there is significant uncertainty regarding how his chin and overall physicality will translate to a heavier weight class against a natural 205-punter.

To find success, Costa will need to lean on his athleticism and high-volume kicking game to threaten Murzakanov. He must prioritize damaging Murzakanov’s lead leg and body while maintaining strict distance control to avoid the return fire. However, Murzakanov is notoriously disciplined and attentive in his stand-up exchanges, rarely leaving openings for such attacks.

At this stage, there are very few reasons to doubt Murzakanov’s effectiveness in the Light Heavyweight division. Given his established power and Costa’s lack of experience in this weight class, I am leaning toward Murzakanov as the favorite to dictate the terms of this encounter.

Final Pick – Azamat Murzakanov

Curtis Blaydes (-135) VS Josh Hokit (+115)

This matchup is particularly difficult to predict, primarily because we have only seen Josh Hokit compete twice in the UFC. Despite his limited Octagon time, he has been handed a direct path to a high-level veteran in Curtis Blaydes. A fighter who serves as the ultimate litmus test for the heavyweight division and one who has derailed many surging prospects in the past. We saw this recently with Rizvan Kuniev, who entered the UFC on a long win streak only to suffer his first loss in nine years to Blaydes via split decision. Blaydes also holds a significant win over the dangerous Jailton Almeida, proving he still belongs at the top of the mountain.

However, the blueprint for beating Blaydes is well-documented: his primary weakness is his inability to absorb massive power shots. All five of his career losses have come via knockout, which remains the biggest red flag for anyone backing him. Interestingly, both Hokit and Blaydes come from strong wrestling backgrounds. In matchups like this, the grappling often cancels itself out, leading to a prolonged striking battle. That said, Hokit’s chaotic and unorthodox style might allow him to test Blaydes in the wrestling transitions where others have failed.

On the feet, Hokit is the more mobile and aggressive fighter, which theoretically gives him a better chance of finding success in the striking exchanges. His movement could be the key to landing the heavy shot that has troubled Blaydes throughout his career. However, we have seen this story play out many times before; Blaydes has a history of consistently shutting down unranked fighters who are vaulted into a main-card spotlight against him.

Hokit’s two UFC victories came against lower-tier competition, leaving much to be proven regarding his ability to compete with the elite. While the newcomer brings excitement and athleticism, the gap in experience is significant. For that reason, I am siding with the veteran experience of Curtis Blaydes to hold the line and secure the victory.

Final pick : Curtis Blaydes

Dominick Reyes (-139) VS Johnny Walker (+119)

This stands as the most unpredictable bout on the card, a matchup where certainty is impossible to find. We have seen both men rendered unconscious in devastating fashion, yet we have also seen both deliver highlight-reel finishes that leave their opponents cold. Predicting this fight isn’t just about picking a winner; it’s about guessing who ends up on the wrong side of a viral moment. Given the defensive liabilities of both men, a finish feels almost guaranteed.

Johnny Walker enters this contest riding a wave of momentum following a convincing victory over Zhang in China. He looked composed and effective in that outing, showing signs of the maturity his game has long lacked. Dominick Reyes, conversely, is coming off a brutal knockout loss at the hands of Carlos Ulberg. A result that effectively cleared the path for Ulberg’s own title shot. Physically, Walker holds the edge in both height and reach, advantages that should theoretically make his job much easier as he looks to manage the distance and land his explosive attacks.

The difficulty in forecasting this fight lies in the fact that we have seen every version of these two fighters. From the elite contenders to the vulnerable veterans. Because both have shown a fragile chin in recent years, the result will likely come down to who lands first. However, judging by their most recent performances and the current trajectory of their careers, Johnny Walker seems to have the more reliable form. I’m leaning toward a Walker victory in a fight that is unlikely to see the judges’ scorecards.

Final Pick – Johnny Walker

Cub Swanson (-111) VS Nate Landwehr (-105)

This is a matchup where entertainment is virtually guaranteed, as we are set to witness a clash between two standout strikers and true veterans of the sport. At 42 years old, the legendary Cub Swanson returns to the Octagon to face the 37-year-old Nate Landwehr. A significant factor in this bout is Swanson’s inactivity; he hasn’t competed since 2024, which is an incredibly long layoff for a fighter at this stage of his career.

Nate Landwehr enters this fight looking to snap a two-fight losing skid, but those results don’t tell the whole story. In his recent outing against Morgan Charrière, Landwehr was actually winning the first two rounds on one judge’s scorecard before being finished in the third. While Charrière represents the vanguard of the younger generation, it is difficult to imagine the 42-year-old Swanson maintaining that same level of sustained pressure and pace over three rounds.

Both men are highly skilled strikers, but this battle will likely be decided by whoever has more left in the tank. Given the age gap and Swanson’s time away from active competition, Landwehr appears to be the fighter in better physical form. Expect Landwehr to utilize his high-volume boxing and relentless pace to outwork the veteran and secure a hard-fought victory.

Final Pick – Nate Landwehr

Patricio Freire (+270) VS Aaron Pico(-333)

This is a fascinating crossover clash as two former Bellator stalwarts bring their rivalry into the UFC Octagon. Patrício “Pitbull” Freire enters this bout coming off a solid victory over Dan Ige, while Aaron Pico looks to rebound from a brutal knockout loss to Lerone Murphy. It’s worth noting that Pico was performing exceptionally well in that matchup and likely would have secured the win if not for a perfectly timed spinning elbow from Murphy. Pico has been sharpening his tools alongside elite competition like Khamzat Chimaev and Arman Tsarukyan, showing up in peak physical condition with a game centered on high-level wrestling and an unbreakable spirit.

In contrast, Pitbull is the quintessential veteran, stepping into the cage for the 45th time in his storied career. While he remains a legendary figure in the sport, we’ve seen cracks in his game recently, specifically in his striking exchanges against elite movers like Yair Rodriguez. At this stage of their respective careers, Pico appears to be in his prime and operating at a much higher physical intensity.

The path to victory for Pico lies in his wrestling pedigree and relentless pace. While Pitbull’s experience makes him dangerous in every exchange, the youth and grappling dominance of Pico will likely be the deciding factors. Expect Aaron Pico to utilize his superior wrestling to neutralize the veteran’s weapons and claim a career-defining win over the Brazilian legend.
