Sean Strickland delivered a return to form performance at UFC Houston, snapping ‘Fluffy’ Hernandez’s eight-fight win streak in impressive fashion.
Strickland started the fight as expected, utilizing his jab and keeping Hernandez at bay with teep kicks. But in the latter half of the opening round, ‘Fluffy’ started to open up, walking Strickland down and forcing the ex-champ to retreat multiple times.
It was more of the same in round two as Hernandez struggled to find his way past Strickland’s jab.

As he continued to lean on his fundamentals in the third, Strickland decided it was time to turn up the heat after connecting with a nasty knee up the middle that had Hernandez compromised.
Smelling blood in the water, Strickland unleashed a flurry of strikes, forcing ‘Fluffy’ against the fence before hitting the mat and covering up. A few additional strikes later, referee Herb Dean was left with no choice but to step in and call for the stoppage.

Official Result: Sean Strickland def. Anthony Hernandez via TKO (knee to strikes) at 2:33 of Round 3.
