Former UFC BMF kingpin Jorge Masvidal wants to come out of retirement and already has two big names on his mind.
“Gamebred” retired in 2023. However, earlier this year, he showed interest in fighting Conor McGregor at the White House.
The bout list for the June 14 event, dubbed UFC Freedom 250, has already been unveiled, and neither McGregor nor Masvidal is on the card.
“The Notorious” is now expected to return on the International Fight Week card in July, and earlier this week, his manager met with the UFC brass.
When McGregor returns, there has been talk/rumour of him facing Nate Diaz to complete their trilogy or potentially running it back with Max Holloway. Most recently, Kamaru Usman also showed interest in fighting the Dubliner in 2026.
Earlier this year, when rumors surfaced about a potential McGregor vs. “Gamebred” bout at the White House, Dana White quickly dismissed the idea by calling it “goofy sh*t.” Even in 2019, White had zero interest in a McGregor vs. Masvidal showdown. He had previously told TMZ Sports:
Jorge Masvidal is too big for Conor… He’s too big for Conor. Conor doesn’t belong at 170 [pounds]. He’s got the b*lls to fight at 170, but he doesn’t belong there. Hell no.”

Jorge Masvidal sends chilling warning to Conor McGregor: “I’m open to kicking Conor’s teeth”
During a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Jorge Masvidal said he’s always training and prepared to return to the octagon whenever called. Right after that, he took countless digs at Conor McGregor and also called out Leon Edwards.
“I wouldn’t mind beating the f***ing living pi*s out of that, what’s that little m****t Irish that sells whiskey? I wouldn’t mind beating the s**t out of him or the other fu*king dude from across the pond, Leon [Edwards]. Either one of those two dudes, you know, I wouldn’t mind, man. I got a little bit of unfinished business.”
Masvidal then added that his stand-up game is on another level, and hence, the Irishman will never agree to fight him:
I know Conor’s b*tch a*s ain’t taking the fight because he ain’t never accepted that fight and it’s for a reason. I’m a stand-up fighter. I’m better than him at the stand-up. I’m a little bigger than him, and I’m a lot meaner than that coward.”

During the same interview, the 41-year-old claimed he told the UFC he is game to fight Leon Edwards or Conor McGregor.
Lastly, “Gamebred” sent a chilling warning to “The Notorious,” adding:
I’m open to kicking Conor’s teeth. And, you know, I just know he’s probably not going to take the fight… I am gonna keep it standing, I am gonna kick his ribs in, elbow his jaw, I’m gonna make it nasty… Send your boy Conor a message, bro. I’m looking to break his f**king face.”
