Longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan has helped Jon Jones get stem cell treatment for his hip.
Earlier this year, news surfaced that “Bones” is suffering from hip arthritis and has his left hip covered in it. Jones has said that he qualifies for hip replacement and was in severe pain during his 2024 fight camp ahead of the Stipe Miocic bout.
Despite suffering from this condition, Jones wanted to fight at the White House on June 14, but his name is absent from the bout list.
Jones has alleged that the UFC brass lowballed him, and hence the negotiations over the White House event ended on a sour note. He also requested the promotion to release him if they feel he has nothing more to offer as a fighter.
Earlier this month, Dana White stated during a presser that Jones’ name was never in the mix and the promotion had no plans of putting him on the White House card. White also added that “Bones” is retired due to bad hips.
However, Jones later claimed that he had received stem cell treatment and was looking forward to starting training camp for UFC Freedom 250, and arthritis wasn’t going to stop him from competing.
Joe Rogan has more information on this matter, including whether Jones actually received stem cell treatment.
Joe Rogan helped Jon Jones get stem cell treatment
On his podcast, alongside UFC veteran Dustin Poirier, Joe Rogan stated that Jon Jones doesn’t want to hang up the gloves just yet and therefore got stem cell treatment so that he can continue fighting.
He does not wanna be done. He got stem cells on his hip because I helped him get it. I wouldn’t have talked about it, but he talked about it. He got it at WesterWell. He’s feeling a lot better. He does have arthritis in his hip. It bothers him, but it doesn’t bother him enough where he can’t fight. And he is the greatest of all time. Period.”

Rogan and members of his family have also experienced health benefits after undergoing stem cell therapy, and the UFC commentator often talks about it on The Joe Rogan Experience and promotes stem cell treatment.
Alex Pereira also believes Jon Jones is not done
UFC two-division champion Alex Pereira, who will be making his heavyweight debut at UFC Freedom 250 against Ciryl Gane for the interim 265-pound championship, believes Jon Jones still has unfinished business in the UFC.
“Poatan,” who has signed a new 8-fight deal and wants to finish his career in the heavyweight division, also hopes to fight Jones someday and believes the promotion won’t release the American anytime soon.

In the past few months, all signs pointed in one direction: A super fight between Alex Pereira and Jon Jones will finally come to fruition in 2026. However, the UFC brass ruined the plan by not giving Jones a chance to be a part of the once-in-a-lifetime White House event and then announcing “Poatan” vs. “Bon Gamin” to play spoiler.
