McDaniel, 41, has been a professional fighter for nearly 20 years. During that time he accumulated a 31-10 professional MMA record and appeared in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Bellator MMA, Elite XC and King of the Cage. “The Threat” fought against Sean Strickland, Brad Tavares, and Alexander Schlemenko along the way.
Most notably, McDaniel was part of it. The ultimate fighter In 2012, Season 17 was coached by John Jones and Chael Sonnen. Jones was to pick McDaniel on his third team pick. McDaniel lost his first fight with Kelvin Gastherm through submission before Jones brought him back as a wild card to fight Kevin Casey. McDaniel beat Casey after suffering an eight-second knockout loss to Uliahole in the quarter-finals.
Today, McDaniel is taking part in several rough backyard boxing matches. In late February, Santi P posted a video of a collection of boxing matches from the field in Wichita Falls, Texas, where McDaniel trains. One of the fights showed McDaniel to stand up to someone named “Eddie.”
As you can imagine, McDaniel was with an inexperienced fighter, crowding “Eddie” with his brutal left hand, leaving him unconscious. It took the previous UFC fighters about a minute to walk to land their final blow and win.
