Former UFC bantamweight and flyweight champion Henry Sejude took on the role of hero on Friday (April 4, 2025) when a high-speed moving vehicle hit a neighbor’s home outside his Phoenix, Arizona home.
According to Cejudo, the driver and passengers then tried to escape. In response, Sejude and the homeowner chased the suspected suspect, and Sejude physically restrained one of them until officers arrived at the scene.
Henry Sejude says he arrested a suspect who allegedly plowed the vehicle into a neighbor’s home Friday night.

“In this room, if someone stands there, they’ll be dead. All of these kids are lucky to be alive,” Sejudo said in a statement shared with MMA Junkies. “After they left, I told them, ‘Hey, you guys aren’t going anywhere’ The owner of this house tried to stop them and you said you need to be responsible for my neighbor.
“Almost all of my neighbors came to fight the situation. I lifted him up, dropped him, slapped him a bit, almost controlled him.”
Everything sounds like things could have been worse. Cejudo stated how lucky he was to have no one in the room where the car crashed. Bantam-class or not, UFC fighters can seriously damage civilians if they don’t pay attention.
Regarding his career within the Octagon, Sejudo recently lost his technical decision to sing Yadon at UFC Seattle amid a major controversy. His next appointment is uncertain, but Sejude recently showed that he might compete again.
