Cory Sandhagen is game to fight former UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley at the White House, but O’Malley does not share the same interest.
Sandhagen last fought at UFC 320, where he lost to then-champion Merab Dvalishvili by unanimous decision.
O’Malley, on the other hand, returned to winning ways earlier this year at UFC 324 against Song Yadong.
After snapping his two-fight losing skid, “Suga” showed immediate interest in running it back with current and two-time UFC 135-pound title holder Petr Yan.
However, that bout won’t materialize right away, as the UFC has promised “The Machine” an immediate title rematch with Yan to settle their trilogy whenever the Russian is fit to compete again.
In the meantime, O’Malley does not mind waiting, as he believes Dvalishvili, who was the most active champion in 2025, deserves a title rematch next.
“Suga” has shown interest in fighting Sandhagen on one condition: That the UFC pays him the same amount, which they will do if he is fighting for the title.

However, O’Malley’s recent comments suggest he does not expect to be on the White House card, and his earlier desire to fight Sandhagen seems to be dying.
Cory Sandhagen blasts “little entitled bitch” Sean O’Malley
Cory Sandhagen, the No. 4-ranked bantamweight contender, last fought in October 2025 and lost to “The Machine” as mentioned above. Sandhagen is itching to return and is getting frustrated with O’Malley for showing little interest in fighting him.
In a recent Instagram video captioned “Fight me bro”, the former UFC title challenger blasted O’Malley. He posted a hilarious edit mocking O’Malley, inserting multiple clips where “Suga” appeared to suggest he was trying to avoid a fight with the 33-year-old. Sandhagen quipped:
“Yo, what’s up, guys? Pay attention, because I’m about to break down why the UFC is going to miss out on one of the biggest fights they can put on the White House card right now, and it’s because O’Malley’s being a little entitled bitch… That’s not how it works. Fight me! Frick!”
