No. 2-ranked lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan has revealed who he considers to be the worst fighter in the UFC.
Most recently, during an interview with Aviator by SPRIBE, “Ahalkalakets” responded to a fan who claimed Paddy Pimblett ‘will kill’ Tsarukyan in Round 1 if they ever throw down. The Armenian did not agree with the netizen’s assessment and quipped:
I can just fight him [Pimblett] on this sofa. Just playing. Give him one leg, and he can’t even submit me.”
The 29-year-old then added that Pimblett is the worst fighter in the UFC and should be cut from the roster:
He is the worst fighter in the UFC. UFC gotta cut him”

The bad blood between Pimblett and Tsarukyan mostly started brewing after the former was picked over then-No. 1 contender Tsarukyan to fight Justin Gaethje at UFC 324 for the interim lightweight belt.
Right after “Ahalkalakets” was denied a title shot (for many reasons), Pimblett didn’t hold back. He mocked the 29-year-old “little rich boy” constantly on social media and in multiple interviews.
However, after the 37-year-old Gaethje dismantled Pimblett and dropped the Liverpudlian multiple times en route to a unanimous decision win at UFC 324, Tsarukyan laughed and majorly criticized Pimblett’s performance.
Arman Tsarukyan believes he can KO Alexander Volkanovski
After being denied a shot at the UFC lightweight championship early in 2026, Arman Tsarukyan wanted to pursue a move down to featherweight to fight current and two-time 145-pound champion Alexander Volkanovski.
Tsarukyan had previously claimed that in a potential bout with “The Great,” he could knock out the Australian with just one axe kick.
Earlier today, on the JAXXON podcast, when “Ahalkalakets” was asked if he still believes Volkanovski is easy game for him, Tsarukyan, while imitating an axe kick, quipped:
If they give me a fight with Volkanovski… He’s short. I will just do that [axe kick].”
However, Tsarukyan no longer plans to move down to featherweight. During the same sit-down, he stated that it’s his time now and the 155-pound division is where he truly belongs. The Armenian aims to capture the lightweight throne soon and then break Islam Makhachev’s record of four successful title defenses.
Arman Tsarukyan has also announced that Hunter Campbell has given him a date and an opponent for his next bout, and he expects to fight for the UFC lightweight championship later this year.
