Joanderson Brito Vs. Pabani UFC in ESPN 65 Preview
Brito (17-4-1 MMA, 5-2 UFC) won five straight times by losses in a decision split in Paris this September by William Gomis. The five previous wins were all halts. This included two post-match bonus awards. Sabatini (19-5 MMA, 6-2 UFC) won the past five fights and lost, but returned to the rise this fall with Jonathan Pierce’s first round submission.
Joanderson Brito vs. Pat Sabatini UFC ESPN 65 Expert Picks, Prediction
The joint main event in Las Vegas features solid featherweight reservations between two of my favorite action fighters, Joan Derson Burrito and Pat Sabatini.
Sabatini is definitely a submission specialist, but given that his fight is likely to end early, I still hug him with the action-fighting crowd. But if you want to avoid being the person who’s finished with Sabatini, he will probably need to reach his efforts early and often.
Luckily for Sabatini, Brito has the tendency to drive himself out of position and throw him into the clinch because of that power, despite having the edge to hit his power in this matchup.
In fact, Britton’s bad habit of clinching is undoubtedly that he sacrificed his finish and battle during his UFC tenure. With that in mind, Brito will be tasked with finding the balance between landing his murder shot or relinquishing Sabatini the conditions for victory.
I’ve been burned by Briton’s Wildman tendencies before, so I’ll side with the bad habits of the little cage and Brazilians to pour this fight into the sabatini speciality.
The pick is that Sabatini locks the submission by the end of round two.
