Josh Emmett appears to be in good shape to head for his Octagon Return (April 5, 2025) tomorrow night (April 5, 2025) on UFC Vegas 105 Live on ESPN/.ESPN+ From inside the UFC apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, fans of the fight are still worried about how he saw during the official measuring Friday (results here).
Emmett, who turned 40 last month, will meet undefeated featherweight contender Lelloné Murphy in Saturday’s main event. It was removed nearly 16 months from the last time fans saw Emmett compete, resulting in Virus knockout victory Back at UFC 296 in December 2023 and beyond Blythe Mitchell, that’s not something we’ve ever seen before, but Emmett is now in his 40s so it shouldn’t be underestimated.
On Friday, Emmett was the first fighter to step on the scale of the official UFC Vegas 105 weighing. As always, the veteran fighter hit the 146-pound featherweight benchmark, as he always does. In fact, Emmett missed weight in the only time he missed weight against Ricardo Lamas in 2017 when he was only a few pounds overweight.
Emmett gained weight in a collision with a “miracle” in Saturday’s main event, but some fight fans were shocked by his appearance. To be honest, Emmett seemed to be running out this time, compared to his previous weight cuts, but there’s still something to say to the social media public.
Check out Emmett’s official weight below.
“A totally normal abs.”
“His torso makes me uncomfortable.”
“He still looks strong and jacked.”
“UFC physique.”
“My buddy doesn’t have any ounces left to squeeze out.”
“First, I also stay hydrated.”
“wonderful.”
“ORC Genetics kicks in round 3.”
“It looks like that weight cut has been sacrificed.”
“I’m betting my house on him.”
“I can’t wait to see him checked for fraud.”
“Skull is facing the goblins.”
