Carlos Plates has not seen Jacques Della Madarena as a tough test for UFC welterweight champion Beral Muhammad.
Muhammad (24-3 MMA, 15-3 UFC) will defend his welterweight title against Dera Madalena (17-2 MMA, 7-0 UFC) on May 10 at the Bell Centre in Montclair, Quebec, Canada.
Competitors are confidently predicting Muhammad’s victory.
“I think the Berals will win,” Plates told the fight home. “Jack Della Maddalena looks like a good fighter, but he once fought Kevin Holland and he fought another man. He fought another man. I don’t remember the name, he fought Gilbert Burns even in the UFC anymore, he lost the fight, and in the last moment he won the fight.
“OK, that’s good, but only his good victory is against Gilbert Burns and Beral Muhammad really be hitting a lot of people. Jack Della Madarena wants to see him as a champion because he’s a striker and that’s what I think Beral Muhammad will win.”
After four knockouts and four performance night bonuses, the battle against nerd Plates (21-6 MMA, 4-0 UFC) will emerge as a top contender after taking on Ian Machadogully (15-1 MMA, 8-1 UFC).
