Prior to the UFC Vegas 105, 25 of the 26 competitors stepped up the scale ahead of the Fight Night Card, most successful, but not all fighters gained weight.
Daniel Santos was weighing heavily for his scheduled matchup with Davy Grant during Friday’s weigh-in. Brendan Fitzgerald, announcer for each UFC play, went on to announce that Santos suffered from “medical issues” and that the fight was cancelled. Grant made a weight at 135.5 pounds.
The UFC Vegas 105 will be held at UFC Apex on Saturday.
Headliners Josh Emmett and Lerown Murphy gained weight without any problems in the featherweight collision. Emmett was the first fighter on scale, weighing at 146. Murphy quickly weighed in on the second UFC main event at 145.5 pounds.
Plus, he missed out on the cortical Romion by more than three pounds as he is hoping for a first UFC victory.
The winner of the 2024 Competitor Series contract was on a scale of less than 10 minutes from the official UFC Vegas 105 weighing on Friday, 139.5 pounds (3.5 pounds for the bantamweight limit) ahead of the fight against Chang Holi. Lee, 30, gained weight at 136 pounds for his sophomore UFC outing. The fight continues as planned with a false and violent one that confiscates 20% of his wallet.
