The second measurement will be 2pm on Saturday and will need to be measured at 80kg (176 pounds). The fight was set at 77kg (170 pounds) at a press conference on Friday ahead of the Octagon 69, with “Flying” Uwe Schul and “der Breite” Eddie Tassi opposed previous agreements on weight on the battle day. When asked about the measurement, the pair of fighters shared that there was a second measurement agreement at 2pm on the battle day.
Tasci shared that he misunderstood the contract because his contract is in English and his English is not very good. Tasci said he blindly signed the contract and agreed to the measurement. Tasci wanted to rake up the second measurement, so he didn’t like the idea that he could fully hydrate and eat before the fight on Friday night, and that he had to only 3 kg longer than he weighed on Friday morning. He shared that it was a tough cut for him and that he would be at a great disadvantage if he were not rehydrated.
Schuder said he didn’t deal with contract negotiations and trusted the coach completely. Shoder was not mad about the second measurement, as it would require fewer cuts than TASCI. He also said he was at a disadvantage, not being able to fully hydrate and refuel.
