Kayla Harrison is ready to throw it away along with fellow Olympic champion Henry Sejude.
For years, Harrison and the previous two UFC title holders have been going back and forth through interviews and social media. In October, Harrison said he was going to “f*ck him” after suggesting that “Triple C” would be difficult to deal with UFC 307 opponent Ketren Vieira.
“Bro, you’d better f*cking your boy to Henry,” Harrison told Ali Abderaziz. “I’m going to f*ck him. After he told him all of that, he said, ‘But I have to go with Kayla.’ That’s right.
Five years ago, Harrison suspended an interview with Sejude, saying that if he doesn’t meet certain expectations in his MMA career, he would give him a “Triple C” 1,000 push-ups.
“I’ll give Henry a push-up whenever I’m retired, I won’t see him and I won’t live ups,” Harrison said in the clip below. “It’s about how I feel confident I will take this self-proclaimed title as the greatest combat athlete of all time.
“I said, ‘This is everything I want from you. Whenever I take that title, you will borrow 100 from me and you will bend your knees.”
Kayla Harrison has one victory from becoming a UFC champion
Six months later, Kayla Harrison appears to be preparing to win cash.
“Yeah,” Harrison wrote to X after the user asked if the bet with Sejude was still on.
Harrison must first pass Julianna Pena before getting 100 push-ups from Sejude.
As Dana White announced, Harrison will be taking on “The Venezuelan Vixen” at UFC 316.
This will be Pena’s first defending since taking the title from Raquel Pennington through a highly controversial split decision in October.
